Product Innovations That Will Become The Golden Standard in The Future

Technology, to some degree, flies fast, and at an astonishing speed, and it is incredible to see some of the innovative products that come into the market. Let’s see some of the advancements we’ll see in the near future.

In our current day and age, we can say that there are many things we can do with modern technology. Innovations are coming everywhere – left, right, and center. Some old-timers might compare how technology moves like a car with a full tank going at a ridiculous speed.

Others can barely keep up, while the rest are pretty excited about what’s in store for them in the future.

Now, we are here to talk about the things you can look forward to with the help of modern technology. With that said, let’s take a look at some of the products that will become the new standard.

 Self-Healing Concrete

Aside from water, concrete is considered to be one of the vital building pieces of our society. For those who don’t know, it is the second most-consumed material on the face of the planet. Despite that, concrete still has a lot of flaws and is susceptible to cracks and fissures.

With that in mind, a group of capable minds coming from the University of Colorado Boulder put considerable investments in researching and creating a type of self-healing concrete with the help of bacteria. This “self-healing” concrete is a by-product of minerals that come from growing bacteria using particular sand and a unique gel-like substance. Interestingly enough, their research shows that this newly created concrete can repair almost all of the cracks it sustains over time. They also reveal that it could even clear up certain toxins from the air!

Energy Bricks

Folks from the Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, recently made a stunning discovery that can turn the typical brick into an energy-saving device, reminiscent of batteries. This could be the next most significant innovation the world has ever seen, and a lot of people are excited to see this product hit the industry in the coming years.

Currently, the research, study, and development of these electricity-saving bricks are still in the proof-of-concept stage. However, once it materializes and everything falls into place, we are sure it will help society a lot.

Futuristic Guide Dogs

Differently-abled people have difficulty coping with trauma. That’s why a student from Loughborough University in England came up with an ingenious design for a robotic guide dog. This is to help visually impaired people.

The robotic guide dog mimics what regular guide dogs do. Anthony Camu, the man behind the project, developed a program that use safe routes within a vicinity to help visually impaired people. It also uses real-time data transmissions to relay the things the AI found, and its software relays all the details the system needs.

New Gen-Smartwatches

A team of engineers from the University of Glasgow found a new way to get free electricity for your smartwatch. They do this with the help of their newly developed flexible supercapacitor. In simpler terms, these brilliant minds found a way to power up gadgets like smartwatches using sweat.

These supercapacitors get the full amount of power from 20 microlitres of sweat. They achieve this astounding feat by surrounding a thin layer of polymer underneath a polyester cellulose cloth, and create the electrode of their superconductor.

The positive and negative ions found in your sweat reacts with the polymer’s surface, allowing it to generate electricity. This technology will have significant implications in the future.

There is lots of exciting and useful stuff to look out for. Are you excited about the future? We know we are!
