David Gilmour | Astoria
One of the pillars of the iconic band Pink Floyd, David Gilmour has been in the rock and roll scene since the 1960s. His hugely successful career led him to a whopping net worth that allowed him to buy the Astoria in 1986. Built in 1911, the ship was originally made to hold an entire orchestra on its deck. Much to his credit, the classic and vintage aura of the ship was what probably attracted the musician the most.
Mainly built for the purpose of recording his songs, Gilmour put up his recording studio in it, and some of his albums were actually recorded aboard the ship. It is permanently in the Hamptons when it is not sailing through the seas. The yacht is 88 feet long and has a total of 3 cabins for its passengers.
