One of them said that he should call the boat Free Throw so that “you won’t ever sink it.” O’Neal probably thought it was a great way to personalize the boat and to keep his humor in its name, so he took it on. He really gives credit to his fans, so it isn’t surprising that he shares a lot of his life, and not just his career with them.
